Guinness
Baby Guinness. Sweet baby G.
He came into our lives by accident. It was my very first day volunteering with Beth and the girls at the Humane Society of York County. This tiny little 4 month old named ‘Boone’ was in the outside cage barking and begging for attention while we had our orientation. I grabbed him right away and I actually felt my heart grow 2 sizes that day. Beth and I sent pictures to Andrew and he knew right then and there that we were adopting a dog.
I fought it for a week or so but every time I left that little boy at the shelter my heart hurt terribly. Fast forward – Andrew and I adopt the most amazing little man and we changed his name to Guinness.
Everyone who met G Man loved him immediately. He had the biggest personality, funniest sense of humor, and facial expressions that kept everyone laughing. When we moved to the lake Guinness decided he was the lifeguard for all the kids that came to swim at the dock. He loved swimming to the different beaches and digging in the sand and barking at the waves. He lived every day of his almost 5 years to the fullest.
Guinness was our furbaby and touched so many lives it is unreal. His giant heart was not strong enough to keep him with us longer but we will never ever go a day without missing his huge personality and sweet spirit.
Thank you for choosing US and giving us the most incredible 4 plus years we could imagine. Thank you for putting up with a hundred nicknames – G Man, G Bear, Little Bear, Wubba, Wubbs, Gee Gee, Dennis, G Money, Bubba, Baby Biscuit…the list goes on and on. And he answered to every one of them. I hope you are giving besos to everyone in heaven. We miss you little boy. This pain is unreal.
Thank you for making our lives complete.
